Horizon Europe · Cluster 4 – Digital, Industry and Space · HORIZON-CL4-2027-04-DIGITAL-EMERGING-05
Funding for an integration framework, toolkit and adoption guide that help industry, especially SMEs, deploy AI-driven robotics.
This call is announced but not open yet. Dates and conditions can still change.
What is this call about?
The topic funds one innovation action that builds a modular integration framework, toolkit and adoption guide for AI-driven robotics in industry. It aims to help system integrators and SMEs adopt robotics faster.
What does this call fund?
Scope
The topic addresses Europe's gap in system integration capabilities for industrial robotics. The project should build expertise among system integrators on state-of-the-art hardware and software components and interoperability, and speed up the integration of AI-driven robotics in industry, especially in SMEs. Energy-efficient AI models and hardware, open standards, and simulation or digital twins for testing are encouraged.
Deliverables
- A modular, deployable integration framework validated in at least three real-world industrial pilots covering different scenarios and company sizes.
- An integration kit with ready-to-use modules, example configurations and tools for system integrators and companies.
- Digital twin testbeds linked to pilots where relevant.
- Reusable datasets and benchmark tasks for the robotics and AI community.
- A step-by-step adoption guide for SMEs and other end-users, including regulatory and certification guidance.
- Contributions to open standards and guidance on certification pathways.
Expected outcomes
Wider and faster deployment of robotics, modular and interoperable integration frameworks, and improved competitiveness of European industry, notably SMEs. The project should use existing resources on the AI-on-Demand Platform and allocate tasks for cohesion activities with the AI, Data and Robotics partnership.
Technology readiness
Activities start at TRL 4 and reach TRL 7.
