Privacy notice

Who is responsible
The operator of this service is the controller of the personal data described here. The name and contact details of the operator will be published here before launch.
What we collect
Account: your work email, a protected form of your password (we never see the password itself), your organisation profile (name, country, type, size, areas of interest, funding preferences, and optionally website and VAT number), and the date, time and version of the terms you accepted.
Projects and applications: everything you enter about your projects (descriptions, budget, duration, partners, consortium countries and regions, links, answers to our questions, project structure), the calls you shortlist, assessments and scores, and the texts of your application sections with their earlier versions.
Messages: what you and our team write to each other in Messages, with the time each message was sent and read. When there is a new message, we send you an email notice with a link; the email does not contain the message itself.
Technical records: the IP address and time of requests, used to protect sign-in and forms against abuse, and records of emails we send you and whether they were delivered.
Eligibility check without an account: your answers are carried in the address of the result page and are not stored.
Funding Radar alerts without an account and Talk to an expert: the details you enter in those forms.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
To provide the service you signed up for: your account, finding calls that match your projects, assessments, and help with writing your application. The legal basis is the contract between you and the operator (the terms of use).
To review the quality of the service, to help you when you ask for support, and to prevent misuse and keep the service secure. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the operator in a reliable and secure service.
To email you about calls that match your profile. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the link in every email or in your profile.
Only if you agree: to contact you by email or phone with an offer to help you prepare an application for a project that looks promising. The legal basis is your consent. It is optional, it is not needed to use the service, and you can withdraw it at any time in your profile.
To answer your enquiry to an expert. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering it and, where you ask for it, steps before a contract.
Who can see your projects
Named members of the operator's team can view the content of your account, including your projects, application texts and assessments. They do this to check the quality of assessments and drafts, to help you when you ask, and to detect and prevent misuse.
Team access is read-only: the team cannot change your projects or texts through it. Every time a team member opens the content of your account (projects, application texts and assessments), we record who opened it and when. These records are kept for as long as your account exists.
If you have agreed to be contacted, the team may use what it sees in your projects to offer you help with an application. Without that consent, we do not contact you with offers.
Messages you send under Messages are read by the team running Funding Bridge so that it can answer you.
Other users of the service cannot see your projects. We do not sell your data or your project information.
Artificial intelligence
Assessments, call matching, scoring and draft texts are produced with an AI model provided by Anthropic PBC, which acts as our processor. For this, we send the model the project and organisation information needed for the task and the text of the call. We do not send your email address or the name of a contact person.
Under the provider's commercial terms, data sent through its interface is not used to train its models. The provider may process the data outside the European Union; the transfer is covered by the safeguards required by EU data protection law, such as the standard contractual clauses.
AI results are suggestions. The decisions about your eligibility and limits in the service are made by fixed rules, not by the model, and you decide what you submit.
Other service providers
We use service providers for hosting (servers in the European Union), email delivery and protection of forms against automated programs (Cloudflare Turnstile). They process data only on our behalf and under our instructions. A current list is available on request.
Cookies
When you sign in, we set one cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 24 hours. It is strictly necessary for the account and does not track you.
This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add analytics later, we will ask for your consent first.
How long we keep it
Your account, profile, projects, assessments, application texts and messages are kept until you delete your account. You can do this yourself at any time under Profile, Delete my account; everything is deleted at once.
Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Backup copies are kept for up to 30 days and then deleted; our cloud storage provider keeps deleted copies in its recycle bin for up to 93 more days, after which they are gone.
Funding Radar alerts without an account are kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiries to an expert are kept for as long as needed to answer them and for the usual limitation periods afterwards.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest or withdraw your consent at any time, by contacting the operator through the form on the Talk to an expert page. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this notice in a way that matters for you, we will ask you to read and accept it the next time you sign in.
