How we protect your projects
Who sees your projects, where AI works on them and what we never do with them.
Your project is your idea. This is who sees it, where AI works on it and what we never do with it.
Who sees your projects
- You and the people you invite, with the rights you give them. Someone you invite to one project sees only that project, not your other projects. Colleagues you invite to your organisation's account see its projects.
- A partner you invite to one application sees that application and the project description, and no other application of the project.
- If you open a project for partnership, other signed-in users see only its title, the short public description you write for it, the roles, areas and countries you are looking for, the chosen call, the search deadline and the name, country and type of your organisation. Choose the title with that in mind.
- Our team opens the content of your account only when you ask for help, when you agree to an offer of help, or to deal with misuse or a fault. Every opening is recorded. When it handles your credit and invoices, it sees the names of the projects credit was used for.
We use your projects only for you
We use your projects only to give you your results. We do not sell them, and apart from the AI services described below, they go to no one you have not invited.
AI does not learn from your projects
Under the terms of the AI services we use, the data we send them is not used to train AI models.
AI works on your projects in the EU
Drafts, checks, the matching of your projects with calls and the project assistant run on Claude AI models in Google Cloud (Vertex AI), in its European Union region. Google processes the data for us and only on our instructions. If Google cannot be reached, the task does not run: we never send your project to another AI service instead.
Two exceptions, so that you know exactly what happens:
- Tasks that use only the call and basic information about your organisation, such as your website and past EU projects, run directly with the maker of the models, Anthropic, and may be processed outside the EU. Your projects are not sent in these tasks. Suggesting projects for a call is one of them.
- When AI researches the market for your project, the search words it writes are sent to a web search service, which may be outside the EU.
You can delete everything
Delete a project in the menu ⋯ of the project on Projects, or your whole account under Profile; see Delete your account. Backup copies are deleted within 30 days; our cloud storage provider keeps deleted copies in its recycle bin for up to 93 more days.
Tip: The privacy notice and the terms of use describe all of this in full.
