Scope

The call supports international cooperation projects carried out within the Eureka Cluster CELTIC-NEXT. Projects must be directed at researching or developing an innovative product, process or service with the aim of bringing it to market, and must serve a civilian purpose.

How funding works

There is no single central grant. Each participating country funds its own participants through a national or regional agency, and rates depend on the type of organisation. Examples given include:

  • Germany (BMFTR): grants of up to 60% for SMEs, up to 40% for large companies and up to 100% for research organisations and universities
  • Finland (Business Finland): grants of up to 50% for small companies, up to 40% for medium-sized and large companies and up to 80% for research organisations and universities
  • United Kingdom (Innovate UK): grants of up to 70% for start-ups and small companies, falling to 30% for research organisations and universities
  • France (Bpifrance): loans for start-ups and SMEs, with a maximum of €3,000,000 per project

National procedures

In many countries a separate national application is needed, often after the project has received a Eureka label. Applicants should contact their national funding body as early as possible before applying.
