What does this call fund?
Scope
Under the Space Partnership, this topic supports the maturation of disruptive digital technologies for new space transportation solutions. Work should cover one or more of these areas:
- Autonomy, data fusion, navigation and mission planning, including advanced algorithms for process automation and autonomous flight termination systems
- Eco-design guidelines and software design tools, including digital models of launch systems through model-based systems engineering and modelling of the impact of space activity on the atmosphere
- Landing solutions for reusability, in particular navigation data fusion for autonomous landing
Expected outcomes
More sustainable and lower-cost space transportation and launcher systems with fewer operational constraints and better monitoring and autonomy, and new technologies, including software and digital tools, for new space transportation solutions.
Other conditions
Proposals should promote cooperation between industry, SMEs, research institutions and academia, make use of existing EU technologies and building blocks, and complement Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, national and European Space Agency activities. Activities are expected to reach TRL 7-8 (ISO 16290:2013).
