What is this call about?
The call reimburses part of the travel, accommodation and fee costs of AI-SECRETT master's students who take part in the project's extracurricular educational activities. It is open to individual students from the EU and listed Digital Europe Programme countries.
What does this call fund?
Scope
The call, run by the Universidad de Valencia (UVEG) on behalf of the AI-SECRETT consortium, offers financial support to students enrolled in or accepted to the AI-SECRETT master's programme to take part in at least one of the project's extracurricular educational activities.
Eligible costs
Support is based on actual and justified travel and accommodation costs, documented registration or participation fees and other justified costs, as set out in the applicant's indicative cost breakdown. Only expenses incurred after the application date are eligible. The scheme reimburses up to 50% of eligible costs, capped at €5,000 per beneficiary, and amounts are adjusted using the Marie Sklodowska-Curie country coefficients. The selection committee may cap excessive cost items.
Budget and cut-offs
The total budget of this first edition of the call is €600,000, awarded across its five cut-off dates until funding is used up. The call states that, with available resources equally distributed across two yearly editions of the call, at least 240 beneficiaries will be supported. The consortium may add an extra allocation of up to twice the initial amount. A person may apply at several cut-offs but can be funded only once.
Evaluation
Applications are scored out of 100 points on excellence and relevance (30), motivation and expected impact (25), financial need (25) and European added value (20), with no minimum thresholds. Tie-break rules favour applicants in more than one activity, applicants from countries that are not full consortium members, applicants from regions below 75% of average EU income and, at equal merit, female applicants.
Payment
Beneficiaries sign a Financial Support Agreement with UVEG. Payments are normally made after the activity, once the beneficiary report and cost statement are approved; small prefinancing may be possible in justified cases.
