This call is announced but not open yet. Dates and conditions can still change.
What is this call about?
The call funds joint research and innovation projects in which academic and non-academic organisations, including SMEs, exchange staff through physical secondments. International cooperation with organisations outside Europe is strongly encouraged.
What does this call fund?
Scope
MSCA Staff Exchanges support international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary mobility of research and innovation staff, leading to knowledge transfer between participating organisations. Partnerships bring together academic and non-academic organisations, including SMEs, from across the world; participation of organisations from non-associated third countries is strongly encouraged.
Mobility through secondments
- Partner organisations implement a joint research and innovation project by seconding and hosting eligible staff members.
- The project may build on previous work but should go beyond it and create or strengthen long-term collaboration.
- Secondments require physical mobility (virtual mobility is not allowed) and must take place between legal entities independent of each other.
- Exchanges within EU Member States and Associated Countries should mainly be inter-sectoral, though same-sector exchanges are possible; interdisciplinarity is encouraged for exchanges between academic organisations.
- Projects can include networking, workshops and conferences.
Skills development
Seconded staff must be adequately mentored; proposals should describe how secondments will expose them to different skills, working cultures and career paths.
Expected outcomes
Better skills and employability for staff, more ideas turned into products, processes and services, and stronger international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary networks for participating organisations.
