What does this call fund?

Scope

The Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC) offers scholarships to students of the master's programme Artificial Intelligence for Connected Industries (AI4CI Master) at its Castelldefels School of Telecommunications and Aerospace Engineering (EETAC). The scholarships are granted through the AI4CI project, co-funded by the European Union. They aim to widen access to master's studies in advanced digital skills and to promote equality, diversity and excellence in computer science and AI. The call covers the 2025-2027 and 2026-2028 cohorts.

Budget

Up to €167,500 is available in total across the call's cut-off dates, awarded until the budget is exhausted. About 49 scholarships of €500 to €4,500 are expected.

Support modalities

  • Tuition fees, administrative fees and the cost of issuing the official degree: up to €3,400.
  • Living and transport costs: €100 per month for up to six months, up to €600.
  • Mobility stays related to the master's programme not covered by Erasmus+: up to €500.
  • Other study-related costs such as hardware, software and additional training: up to €1,100.

Modalities can be combined, but no student can receive more than €4,500 in total. Costs are reimbursed against invoices and proof of payment.

Selection

The Master's Committee scores each modality out of 10 points: 8 for academic merit and 2 for gender and socioeconomic situation (1 point for female applicants and 1 for annual income below €21,000). Eligible applications not funded for lack of budget go on a reserve list. The scholarship cannot be combined with other support for the same costs.
