¿Qué financia esta convocatoria?
Scope
Aix-Marseille Université (AMU) funds the traineeship period of students enrolled in the Master 2 Biology and Health, study-track AI and biomarkers, at its Faculty of Medical and Paramedical Sciences, within the European project Advanced Digital Skills AI and Health.
Objectives of the internship
The internship must match the objectives of the Master, including:
- understanding how AI is used in biomedical and healthcare research;
- identifying, developing and validating biomarkers for disease prevention, diagnosis or monitoring;
- using IT tools and methods to analyse large medical and biological datasets;
- applying machine learning and deep learning to personalised medicine;
- designing and conducting high-impact, interdisciplinary research combining biology, AI and bioinformatics.
Allowance and payment
The allowance follows French law on traineeships lasting more than two months, paid as a daily work-placement allowance of €4.35 per hour, for no more than 10 hours a day and a 35-hour legal working week. The monthly allowance ranges from €487.20 (16 days) to €639.45 (20 days). AMU pays the student according to the time declared in the work-placement time sheet. Combination with another EU-funded grant, such as an Erasmus+ traineeship allowance, is not allowed.
Selection
The location of the traineeship (French mainland, overseas territories or a third country not associated with Erasmus+) is the prevailing factor. Applications are scored on fit with the objectives of the Master (3/5 points), publication potential (1/5) and acquisition of new digital and technical skills (1/5). A panel of at least three members of the Master's teaching team, including one representative of the Institut Laennec, selects the candidates.
Legal status
The call is not an EU action; it is launched and funded solely by AMU under its own responsibility.
