Scope

The topic funds one consortium that helps climate preparedness and resilience solutions, including nature-based solutions, move closer to market. It supports the European Integrated Framework for Climate Resilience.

Central consortium services

• a common framework for financial support to businesses
• mapping of public and private buyers and aggregation of demand, including public authorities, infrastructure operators, utilities and insurers
• matchmaking between supported businesses and interested buyers
• identifying bottlenecks and good practices and drawing policy lessons

Financial support to third parties

Through competitive calls, the project should support at least 25 third parties with solutions at TRL 7, with particular attention to SMEs. Support covers business development, innovation acceleration, market deployment preparation and market-ready pilots. Priority goes to at least one solution in each of seven areas: water, food and agriculture, transport, energy, health, civil security and critical infrastructure including buildings. The first cascade call should be launched within the first 12 months.

Expected outcomes

Solutions advancing in their investment journey, public authorities stimulating demand for adaptation solutions, and identified bottlenecks and good practices.
