Scope
The Cyber Accelerator is a seven-month programme for companies in the cybersecurity field. It aims to support the competitiveness of the European cybersecurity sector through research and development and to better protect Estonian and EU society and businesses from cyberattacks.
Thematic focus
Business ideas must focus on cybersecurity, especially emerging technologies and trends such as automation, AI, anti-social manipulation, the transition to quantum-resistant cryptographic algorithms, and cybersecurity of space technologies.
Programme content
Selected teams follow a structured development process covering:
- defining customer problems and designing a value proposition
- building a business model and a strong team
- product development and prototyping
- intellectual property protection and agreements with other stakeholders
- investor readiness and funding opportunities
- market entry strategy and preparation for piloting
Application and selection
Applicants submit a project plan through the Tehnopol Startup Incubator website. After a check against the requirements, an evaluation committee of at least five members assesses applications against published selection criteria.
