Esta convocatoria está anunciada, pero todavía no está abierta. Las fechas y las condiciones aún pueden cambiar.
¿De qué trata esta convocatoria?
The call funds projects that prepare regional industrial clusters for capturing, transporting, using and storing CO2 from hard-to-abate industries, with strong industrial involvement and public engagement.
¿Qué financia esta convocatoria?
Scope
This Horizon Innovation Action is the de-risking first step towards local or regional industrial clusters for carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS), linking several CO2 sources and sinks to decarbonise hard-to-abate industries. Projects should lay the basis for future full-size projects and have substantial industrial involvement.
Issues to address (most, not necessarily all)
- Planning for retrofitting capture systems to existing plants and demonstrating important system components.
- Mapping the clustering potential of regional, including cross-border, CO2 emitters and industrial symbiosis with CO2 users.
- Tools to design and operate clusters with CO2 streams of different compositions and flows under shared transport and storage constraints.
- Identifying regional users of a common CO2 infrastructure, which could include enlargement countries such as the Western Balkans, Ukraine and Moldova.
- Assessing transport options, including reuse of existing infrastructure, business models for regional CO2 networks and feasible geological storage services.
- Studies leading to permitting, and scenarios for integrating CO2 infrastructure into electricity, hydrogen and natural gas networks.
Exploitation and society
Projects are expected to deliver an exploitation strategy covering scale-up, commercialisation, permitting and public and private funding sources such as InvestEU and the Innovation Fund. They are expected to engage end users and societal stakeholders in deliberative activities. Activities are expected to reach TRL 6-8 by the end of the project.
