Scope

The AI4GreenDeal project runs a 120-ECTS double-degree master's programme combining energy knowledge with data and AI skills and innovation and entrepreneurship training. This call offers full or partial scholarships to attract highly qualified candidates and widen access, with a target of at least 30% participation from women and/or people from lower socio-economic backgrounds.

Scholarship schemes

  • Energy Impact Scholarships: for applicants with strong academic preparation and potential to contribute to the energy transition. Every admitted applicant is considered automatically.
  • Diversity, Entrepreneurship and Digital Champions (DED) Scholarships: three strands (diversity, equity and inclusion; entrepreneurship; digital champions). Admitted applicants are considered if they pay the €295 registration fee and submit a one to two minute motivation video.

Scholarship values

Full scholarships are worth €19,000 per year for non-EU students and €9,000 per year for EU/EEA students. Partial scholarships for non-EU students are worth €4,000 per year (Energy Impact) or €5,000 per year (DED). Scholarships take the form of a waiver of the participation fee.

Covered and non-covered items

Covered items include enrolment at the host universities, the ESADE Innovation and Entrepreneurship Track, Masters+ events, extracurricular activities with related travel and accommodation, examination fees and administrative services. Travel to host universities, general accommodation, visas, insurance, books and local transport are not covered.

The total budget of the call, €1,000,000, is allocated across five application rounds (roughly 30%, 30%, 20%, 10% and 10%), with unused funds moving to the next round. Applications are checked by the Admissions Office, then evaluated and ranked by the Programme Steering Committee, with DED applicants also assessed by a separate DED Selection Committee.
