¿Qué financia esta convocatoria?
Scope
This pre-commercial procurement action targets consortia of procurers with similar needs that want to jointly procure the development of affordable, innovative solutions for healthcare systems in cancer technologies, medical devices or medicines. Solutions may improve one specific technology or combine different types of innovation end to end, and may transfer solutions from other sectors to healthcare. The topic does not fund developers, industry or research organisations directly; they can respond to the calls for tenders launched by the funded procurers.
Requirements
- Solutions should be clinically validated, piloted or upscaled by the participating procurers in at least five countries across EU Member States and Associated Countries.
- The effective involvement of end-users, such as clinical teams, patients and caregivers, patient representatives, hospitals and medical services, must be considered in the proposal.
- Procurers must hold an open market consultation before launching the procurement and promote the call for tenders widely across Europe.
- Procurers should declare interest in buying at least one resulting solution, either within the action as a fast-track PCP or in a follow-up procurement prepared through a dedicated deliverable.
- Activities should support national health systems and provide technical assistance or capacity building to other procurers.
Expected outcomes
Public procurers stimulate competitive development of affordable, market-ready solutions; suppliers, including start-ups and SMEs, gain first customer references; and good practices and solutions are shared among policymakers, providers and patients.
