The topic funds projects that identify promising results of past EU-funded migration research and adapt, test and scale them for use in migration policy and practice at EU, national and local level.

Scope

Many solutions developed in EU-funded migration research remain underused in policy and practice. Proposals should map and analyse outputs, methodologies and innovations from relevant Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe migration projects, select those with high potential for policy uptake, operational use, market deployment and scaling, and validate, adapt and scale them across EU, national and local levels. High ethical standards, fundamental rights and privacy should be ensured.

Activities

• Mapping of previously funded research and its recommendations.
• Pilots, policy labs, co-creation processes and other mechanisms to transfer research results into policy and operational frameworks.
• A structured dialogue between researchers and decision-makers for continuous knowledge transfer.
• Plans for further use of results at national and EU level, possibly with co-financing from instruments such as the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund.

Expected outcomes

• Greater impact of EU-funded migration research through scaling up promising innovations, methods and tools.
• A policy innovation ecosystem where researchers, policymakers and practitioners adapt and deploy validated models in different contexts.
