Di cosa tratta questo bando?

The topic funds individual ESFRI Landmarks and ERICs to strengthen their long-term sustainability, broaden membership, improve services or reorient their scope to emerging needs.

Cosa finanzia questo bando?

Scope

The topic supports, together with the member countries of each infrastructure, the strengthening, long-term sustainability, reorientation or evolution of individual ESFRI Landmarks or European Research Infrastructure Consortia (ERICs). Proposals should justify their objectives and focus on activities critical for the sustainability and optimised use of the infrastructure.

Possible activities

Actions should pursue several of the following:

  • Enlarging membership or broadening the base of participating countries, notably widening and candidate countries.
  • Addressing critical issues raised in assessment or monitoring exercises, for example within ESFRI.
  • Reinforcing international cooperation and revising business or funding plans.
  • Developing managerial and technical skills of staff and strengthening national or thematic nodes.
  • Extending remote and virtual access and managing research data under the FAIR principles.
  • Reorienting or evolving the scope of the infrastructure to fill gaps, serve new user communities or integrate new facilities.
  • Developing, updating or implementing an impact assessment.

Attention should be paid, where relevant, to greening technologies and methods, interaction with industry and SMEs, innovation potential and integration into innovation ecosystems. Applicants should consider the ESFRI Landscape Analysis and liaise with other relevant ESFRI infrastructures and ERICs.

Expected outcomes

  • A better structured, stronger and more sustainable European research infrastructure landscape.
  • New services for a wider user community and more capacity to address EU policy priorities.
  • Lower environmental impacts and optimised resource and energy use over the life cycle of infrastructures.
