Scope

This open topic aims to speed up the adoption of groundbreaking innovations, starting from TRL 4, under the Chemical Industry Action Plan. It covers:

• decarbonisation of energy-intensive industries;
• circular economy;
• breakthrough production technologies;
• alternatives to substances of concern, such as new chemical substances, advanced materials or technologies.

What proposals should do

Proposals should describe a credible pathway from project results to the expected impact and accelerate market uptake of innovations in chemical industry decarbonisation and in alternatives to substances of concern. The safe and sustainable by design (SSbD) framework should be applied where appropriate.
