FuseNet support for Master students attending educational events

The scheme funds travel and subsistence for Master students attending fusion-related Master classes, summer schools and similar short educational events. It is aimed at students linked to FuseNet member institutions in EUROfusion member states.

Scope

The scheme supports Master students taking part in educational activities outside their own organisation, such as fusion Master classes, summer schools and other short events with a mainly educational character. Conferences are excluded unless the student makes their own contribution at the event.

Type of support

• A fixed amount of travel support, depending on the travel distance.
• Subsistence support, depending on the duration of the event.

Conditions for the activity

• The activity has to take place at a university group or research institute in a EUROfusion member state, or at a FuseNet member institute.
• Applications have to be submitted at least 2 weeks before the event starts, and the event has to start no later than 6 months after the application.

Application and evaluation

Applications are submitted through the FuseNet website and evaluated by the FuseNet Executive Office, which normally informs the student by email within 2 weeks of complete submission. In cases of doubt on eligibility, the FuseNet Academic Council decides, and its decision is final.

31 December 2026. Applications have to be submitted at least 2 weeks before the start of the event, and the event has to start within 6 months of the application.
