Cosa finanzia questo bando?
Scope
The call funds SMEs with innovations in floating offshore wind that address one of the challenges identified by the I3FLOAT project. It targets projects relatively close to commercialisation, with expected TRLs of 6-8.
Challenges
- Open Challenges: solutions aligned with any of the 44 innovation lines in the Floating Wind Strategic Innovation Agenda, such as floating substructures, moorings and dynamic cables; electrical infrastructure and grid connection; turbines, towers and floating wind control; industrialisation; logistics and offshore installation; operation, maintenance and decommissioning.
- Specific Challenges: 11 concrete needs set by Challenge Owners, for example single-pass welding for local serial assembly or logistic optimisation of offshore wind structure transport.
- An application has to address one challenge only.
Evaluation
Applications go through an eligibility check, a qualitative evaluation by 3 I3FLOAT partners or Advisory Board members, and ranking. The highest-scoring application per Specific Challenge is selected; Open Challenge applications are funded in rank order until the budget is used.
