Di cosa tratta questo bando?
The call funds one research and innovation action that tests the ISOS4I in-space servicing pilot mission components together on the ground and qualifies a common European service interface. Cooperation between industry, SMEs and research institutions is expected.
Cosa finanzia questo bando?
Background
The topic contributes to a European in-space servicing (ISOS) pilot mission to be demonstrated in space by 2030, intended to seed a future in-space service infrastructure and a new in-space economy.
Scope
- Support the detailed mission and system design and demonstrate, in an integrated ground test at TRL 6, the interoperability of the developed mission component prototypes (servicing, HOST, logistic and satAPPs) with the applicable servicing interfaces and baseline scenarios
- Final maturation, verification and qualification at TRL 7 of the consolidated Universal Service Interface (USI) solution(s) recommended by the related coordination and support action
- A promotion video and virtual reality experience showcasing the pilot mission concept
Expected outcomes
Progress towards an in-space economy based on sustainable infrastructure and services, preparation of the ISOS4I pilot mission up to detailed design and a ground demonstrator, and consolidated, space-verified USI solutions for European space actors.
Other conditions
Proposals should identify the test facilities to be used, build on the outputs of the related coordination and support action, and integrate previous work on the mission components. The selected project will be a linked action and is expected to work closely with projects under related 2025 space topics. Activities are expected to reach TRL 6-7.
