Scope
The topic funds one consortium that sets up and runs, through the Enterprise Europe Network, a transnational mobility scheme giving lump sum grants to innovative SMEs that cannot find the skills they need. The SMEs use the grants to recruit and train highly skilled researchers from abroad.
Tasks of the consortium
- designing and implementing the scheme, including calls, eligibility checks, evaluations and business support
- promoting the scheme, monitoring its impact and sharing success stories
- supporting SMEs with transnational recruitment, including through EURAXESS and help with visas
- networking events and training on industrial innovation and business management
- equal access across EU Member States and associated countries and a balanced spread of strategic sectors
Costs covered for supported SMEs
- the researcher's salary and total employer costs for 12 to 24 months
- relocation costs, such as travel, visas, transition allowance and family or childcare allowance
- travel to conferences and access to research infrastructures relevant to the innovation idea
Expected outcomes
Fewer skill shortages in innovative SMEs, stronger innovation capacity, and researchers gaining industrial and business skills.

Chi può candidarsi a questo bando?
- The consortium organises and manages the SME support scheme through the Enterprise Europe Network.
- Third parties eligible for support are SMEs with an innovation idea that can show the relevant skills cannot be found on the national labour market.
- SMEs apply with a description of their innovation idea, a vacancy notice and a recruitment plan offering equal opportunities to researchers of all genders.
- Researchers from STEM and from social sciences and humanities can be recruited; MSCA fellows who completed their fellowship need not move country again.
