Scope

The topic funds consortia of knowledge intermediaries that help owners of Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe results move from proof of concept towards validated innovations, follow-on financing and market deployment.

Activities

• scouting and mapping promising innovations, startups, SMEs and exploitable results, with attention to Pillar II projects
• competitive calls offering financial support for prototyping, testing, demonstration, piloting, product validation and market replication
• access to real-life validation sites such as demonstration sites, living labs and testing facilities
• mentoring on value propositions, business models, customer validation, IP and exploitation strategies
• training on scalability and investment readiness, building entrepreneurial teams and guidance towards follow-on EU funding

Thematic areas

Proposals must address one area: agriculture and food systems; clean transition in energy and transport; health; bioeconomy; or raw and advanced materials.

Expected outcomes

Owners of Horizon results better prepared to reach the market, stronger links with innovation support instruments and closer cooperation between research, education and innovation actors.
