Que finance cet appel ?

Scope

The programme supports SMEs and start-ups to improve an existing agriculture-related product, service or application using Copernicus, Earth observation and IoT resources from the Space-IoT Box. Experiments must address a climate-smart agriculture challenge, show how the existing offer will be improved, present an implementation plan, outputs and budget, and show value for users in the Lake Victoria Basin or the wider target countries.

Example application areas

Weather and climate monitoring, water quality monitoring and decision support for fish farming, crop monitoring and phenology, irrigation and farm management, crop disease alerts, agroclimatic zoning, precision agriculture and hydrological flow assessment. Other relevant solutions may be proposed.

Support offered

Access to Space-IoT Box tools, data and documentation; technical training; business development, market validation and investment readiness support; mentoring; and a place at the final showcase in Kenya.

Eligible costs

Actual costs directly linked to the approved experiment, such as testing and improving the product, implementing new Copernicus and IoT features, collecting data and user feedback, preparing documentation, taking part in programme events, and related communication. A 20% pre-financing is paid, with the balance after approval of the final report.
