Was fördert diese Ausschreibung?
Scope
This Horizon Coordination and Support Action extends European coordination tools for connected, cooperative and automated mobility (CCAM) to tackle the fragmented regulatory landscape that hinders large-scale deployment of automated vehicles.
Expected activities
- Extend the EU Knowledge Base with practical tools for safe deployment, serving researchers, policymakers and industry as well as public authorities and citizens, with a long-term sustainability plan.
- Accelerate cooperation between European and international stakeholders, including Member States and Associated Countries, for example by co-organising high-level events such as the EUCAD conference and coordinating with a possible large-scale cooperation such as an IPCEI.
- Develop and implement practical safety assessment procedures and a framework for securely exchanging applications for open road-testing permits across Member States.
- Support EU-wide federated scenario databases linked to European in-depth accident databases.
- Continue managing and hosting the CCAM Technology Observatory, including its database and content.
Expected outcomes
An extended EU-wide knowledge base, stronger cooperation among CCAM stakeholders in and beyond Europe, faster uptake of practical safety assessment approaches, a secure platform for road-testing permit applications and a federated scenario database for validating CCAM systems.
Further expectations
- Proposed actions are expected to address all listed aspects.
