Scope
The topic supports pilots for AI-enabled media infrastructure serving pan-European public-interest media platforms. The project should consolidate, integrate and validate reusable AI components and governance arrangements, building on earlier Horizon Europe, Digital Europe and pilot actions, in preparation for wider scale-up from 2028.
Main activities
- moving existing pilots towards operational validation in real-world conditions against declared service levels, with a KPI framework and independent evaluation
- AI-based translation, classification and processing of news content, including for low-resource European languages

- built-in provenance, traceability and transparency of AI components, and safeguards against synthetic or manipulated content
- a multi-stakeholder governance framework and a post-grant sustainability approach
Expected outcomes
Reliable, modular and interoperable infrastructure for multilingual and multimodal media workflows, equal access for media organisations of all sizes, and trustworthy tracking of content origins.
