Horizon Europe · HORIZON-MISS-2027-02-CANCER-02
Funds clinical research by comprehensive cancer infrastructures in several countries on diagnosis and treatment of lung, bowel, breast and prostate cancer.
Cet appel est annoncé mais pas encore ouvert. Les dates et les conditions peuvent encore changer.
Quel est l’objet de cet appel ?
The call funds innovation actions in which comprehensive cancer infrastructures from several countries jointly run clinical research on diagnosis and treatment of lung, bowel, breast or prostate cancer. It aims to reduce inequalities between countries in access to innovative cancer care.
Que finance cet appel ?
Background
Incidence, mortality and prevalence of lung, bowel, breast and prostate cancer are increasing and vary widely across EU Member States and Associated Countries, with Central and Eastern Europe particularly affected. The development of comprehensive cancer infrastructures also differs strongly between countries, which creates inequalities in research capacity and access to innovative care.
Scope
Comprehensive cancer infrastructures from several countries work together on clinical research on lung, bowel, breast or prostate cancer in at least one of these areas:
- innovative diagnostics;
- radiotherapy, surgery or chemotherapy;
- therapeutic cancer vaccines for patients with early-stage, advanced, metastatic or minimal residual disease;
- implementation of clinical practice guidelines in countries without or with limited comprehensive cancer infrastructures.
Requirements
- Pilot and upscale innovative diagnostic or treatment programmes in at least four countries, one of them with no or a less developed comprehensive cancer infrastructure.
- Identify additional resources, for example through the ERDF, the Technical Support Instrument, the Recovery and Resilience Facility, philanthropy or the EIB Group.
- Define programmes together with patients and caregivers through participative research, and disaggregate data by sex, gender, age and other relevant variables.
- Follow open science, register datasets in the European Health Data Space catalogue and make tools available through the future UNCAN.eu platform.
Expected outcomes
Patients benefit from evidence-based, affordable and accessible clinical research programmes; researchers, SMEs and other actors can co-create, scale or commercialise the results; and health authorities gain evidence to pilot and implement such programmes.
