Que finance cet appel ?
Scope
The topic supports the Commission's Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) and focuses on moving circular systemic solutions from demonstration to deployment and upscaling through living labs. It does not target specific technologies or sectors: proposals choose their sectors or value chains based on an analysis of the local or regional context.
Activities
- Set up living labs that involve citizens, policymakers, research bodies, academia, industry, start-ups, SMEs, social economy entities and financial intermediaries in co-creating solutions.
- Validate, test and optimise circular systemic solutions in selected cities or regions (demonstrators), with governance models and business plans.
- Turn the results into recommendations for replication in other cities and regions (replicators).
- Include a dedicated task and resources to collaborate with the CCRI office, projects and partners.
Expected outcomes
More circularity and lower greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions at local or regional scale, wider deployment and replication of circular solutions, and better cooperation between public authorities, companies, research and citizens. Activities are expected to reach TRL 6-8 and may start at any TRL.
