Que finance cet appel ?

Scope

The topic funds Coordination and Support Actions that build on cooperation between philanthropic organisations and higher education institutions to bring research and technologies to market. Philanthropic organisations are expected to support high-potential projects not only with money but also with expertise, networks of stakeholders and investors, and by acting as first users that test new technologies.

Higher education institutions should present a plan for advancing and commercialising their research, including how they will work with philanthropic organisations or venture capital investors, with businesses that could adopt their technologies and with other relevant stakeholders.

Possible activities

  • Bringing research and innovation actors together to develop a technology, with at least one startup, scaleup or corporate applying it, or confirming interest in applying it, by the end of the project.
  • Supporting experimentation spaces such as living labs, test beds, incubators or accelerators.
  • Working with technology transfer offices to launch spin-offs that secure venture funding from angel investors, accelerators, venture capital firms, corporate investors, philanthropic organisations or National Promotional Banks.
  • Building accelerators that help startups attract venture funding.

Expected outcomes

  • More collaboration between philanthropic organisations, higher education institutions, technology transfer offices, innovative companies and venture capital.
  • Faster transition of academic research into market-ready solutions.
