Scope

The topic uses Europe's research and technology infrastructures to attract global scientific talent and to make Europe a partner of choice for international scientific cooperation.

Activities

• partnering with scientific institutions, including universities, in non-associated third countries to align research methods, testing protocols and data sharing
• promoting the uptake abroad of practices developed by pan-European infrastructures
• joint workshops, training programmes, summer schools and scientific visits for students, early-career researchers and technical staff, with gender-balanced participation
• targeted dissemination and outreach, common communication assets and coordinated presence at international science fora

Target areas

Proposals address one area: health and biomedical sciences; food science and agriculture; clean energy and mobility; environmental and climate sciences; physics and astronomy; advanced materials; social sciences and humanities; a cross-cutting area; or another area identified by the applicants.

Expected outcomes

International scientific networks around European infrastructures, new links between European and non-EU researchers, and stronger visibility of European infrastructures as world-class hubs.

Further expectations

• Proposals are expected to address one of the listed areas, which should be clearly identified.
• Proposals should take into account the Council Recommendation of 23 May 2024 on enhancing research security.
