Scope

Within the SUSA project, Gnomon Informatics SA offers internships to degree students in engineering and health-related disciplines. Internships must match SUSA's themes, including digital health and healthcare innovation, health data management and interoperability, artificial intelligence in healthcare and practical use of SUSA educational content.

Internship tracks

  • Medical students: AI and digital health applications, such as helping to train AI models with medical data and improving clinical decision support tools
  • Engineering and data science students: data quality, AI tools for predictive analytics and patient monitoring, interoperability with HL7 FHIR and related standards, and data visualisation
  • Bioinformatics and biomedical students: clinical data models and governance, terminology management, GDPR and EHDS issues, and validation of use cases

Interns work with the eHealthPass remote patient monitoring platform, remotely, on site or in a hybrid mode, in small teams guided by mentors.

Interns complete a mini research report or technical presentation and receive an internship certificate.
