Crop and livestock production are both in scope, and all EU Member States should be covered.
Activities
Proposals should address all of the following:
- Map existing tools, platforms, methods and actors for collecting organic production data at EU, national and local level, with analysis of cost-effectiveness, best practices and potential to reduce administrative burden.
- Facilitate exchange of experience across the EU and identify solutions that can be transferred between countries and regions.
- Assess whether data collected by organic certification bodies can also be used to measure sustainability, including interoperability standards.
- Develop recommendations, including on governance, for using current data collection tools.
- Train organic farmers and other operators to collect data for reporting, and run networking activities.
Cooperation
Proposals should build on existing tools such as the Farm Sustainability Data Network and include a dedicated task to collaborate with related EU projects, including the Agroecology partnership and the Agriculture of Data partnership.
