Quel est l’objet de cet appel ?
The topic funds innovation projects that develop a method to measure intergenerational neighbourhoods and demonstrate solutions for intergenerational living in at least three neighbourhoods.
Que finance cet appel ?
Scope
Investment still focuses on costly age-segregated housing for older adults, such as large nursing homes. The topic funds innovation projects that develop intergenerational neighbourhoods and communities that meet the needs of different age groups while tackling local challenges such as demographic change, climate change, pollution, biodiversity loss, loss of cultural heritage and feelings of insecurity.
Measuring intergenerational neighbourhoods
Demonstrate a methodology to measure and monitor how intergenerational a neighbourhood or community is, for example through digital platforms, smart sensing or participatory data collection. It should identify legal, regulatory and institutional barriers, explore the perceptions of different generations and determine the role of informal services such as culture, care and education.
Demonstrating solutions
- At least three solutions in at least three neighbourhoods in urban, peri-urban and rural areas of different Member States and/or Associated Countries.
- Redesign of neighbourhood spaces, functions or services, where possible with the cultural and creative sectors, considering users' perceptions, including perceived beauty.
- Adaptability to different local contexts, with monitoring, evaluation and recommendations for uptake.
Expected outcomes
A demonstrated methodology used by architects, planners and designers, and solutions available to public authorities and developers that support intergenerational living and measurably advance the green transition, for example in sustainable mobility, accessibility, climate and water resilience or biodiversity.
