The call funds transnational research and innovation projects along the raw materials value chain that support the green and digital transition. Funding is provided by participating national and regional funders within the RAMP partnership.

Scope
The call funds transnational research and innovation projects across the raw materials value chain, including primary and secondary supply, design and production, circularity and value-chain analysis.
Expected outcomes
Projects should contribute to a sustainable supply of raw materials, efficient use, circular economy practices and reduced social and environmental impacts.
Procedure
- Stage 1: pre-proposals undergo central and national/regional eligibility checks and are evaluated centrally by independent international experts.
- Stage 2: shortlisted consortia are invited to submit full proposals, which are again checked and evaluated by independent experts.
- Proposals may be reviewed by an independent ethics advisory board, which can veto funding for ethically non-compliant projects.
- Final funding decisions are taken by the participating national/regional funders under their own procedures.
Recent changes
An amendment of 2 June 2026 added new call partner countries/regions (South Africa and the Central Region of Portugal).
