Scope

The topic aims to make key research data and knowledge repositories and scientific services used in the life sciences more resilient, by integrating them into the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Federation and by broadening the community that operates and finances them.

Activities

Proposals should address all of the following:

• integration of key data and research infrastructures into the EOSC Federation, with use cases across several EOSC Nodes
• solutions and agreements that improve technical reliability, cybersecurity and trusted access and reduce risks of service interruption
• business and financing models that diversify funding and spread technical components across several organisations
• participation in European or global initiatives such as the Global Biodata Coalition
• training and upskilling of technical and scientific staff

What proposals should identify

The specific repositories and services addressed, their importance for the life sciences supported by indicators, and the risks the action will tackle.

Expected outcomes

More resilient and sovereign European life sciences data resources, further integration of FAIR data in EOSC, and stronger European contribution to international data infrastructure cooperation.

• Proposals should ensure complementarity with projects under topics HORIZON-INFRA-2026-DEV-01-07 and HORIZON-INFRA-2026-01-EOSC-02 where relevant.
