The call funds SMEs in the mobility, transport and automotive ecosystem that want to make their manufacturing or industrial processes more digital, green and resilient. SMEs can apply alone or in small consortia and also receive a package of support services.

Scope

The open call supports European SMEs in the mobility, transport and automotive ecosystem in redefining their manufacturing or industrial processes. Projects may improve current operations and/or introduce new methods or systems that make the companies more digital, green and resilient.

Eligible costs

Project cost categories may include:

• external services and procurement, such as testing, certification, consulting and specialised technical services;
• equipment, components and consumables;
• personnel costs of staff directly involved in the project;
• prototype development, pilot testing and validation activities.

Additional support

Besides the grant, selected SMEs receive a complementary package of services during project implementation, including technical support, access to a pool of experts, training courses and internationalisation opportunities in third countries.

Application and evaluation

The call has two cut-offs: the first was launched on 13 May 2026 and stays open for two months, while the second is expected to be launched in May 2027. Applications are submitted online with an application form and annexes (a resilience check and a declaration of honour). After an admissibility and eligibility check, at least three independent experts score eligible proposals against four criteria set out in the Guide for applicants; the resulting ranking is then validated by the consortium partners.

Two cut-offs: 13 July 2026 and 13 July 2027. The second application period is expected to be launched in May 2027.
