Scope

This Eureka Network Projects call supports international collaborative, market-driven research and development projects between partners from Spain and Turkiye. Projects aim to research or develop an innovative product, process or service with a view to commercialisation, and must have a civilian purpose.

Proposed areas

Topics are open and not meant to be restrictive. The proposed areas are:

  • smart manufacturing and industrial digitalisation
  • energy, renewables and smart infrastructure
  • smart mobility, drones and logistics
  • agri-food

Funding in Spain

The Spanish Centre for Technological Development and Innovation (CDTI) funds the R&D costs of start-ups, SMEs and large companies taking part. Support takes the form of a loan, and there is no maximum funding amount. Each Spanish company needs a budget of at least €175,000, in line with its planned activities and capacity. The Spanish company or Spanish coordinator submits a formal application through the CDTI electronic office by 10 March 2027; national applications from all Spanish partners then follow within the deadline set by CDTI, roughly one month after the call closes.

Funding in Turkiye

The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) funds the R&D costs of SMEs and large companies through its 1509 International Industrial R&D Projects Support Programme, as a grant. SMEs can receive up to 75% for their first five supported projects and up to 60% afterwards; large companies up to 60% and then up to 40%. The maximum project budget is 25 million Turkish lira for single-partner projects and 80 million Turkish lira for collaborative projects, with up to 25 million Turkish lira per Turkish partner. Eligible costs cover personnel, travel, equipment and software, materials and consumables, and consultancy and other services. Turkish applicants submit a national 1509 application through the PRODIS system within six weeks of the international deadline.

Application and evaluation

Each consortium completes one application form in English on the Eureka portal, with partner forms, a GANTT chart and a signed co-signature form. Proposals are assessed on impact, excellence, quality and efficiency of implementation, and overall perception. Successful projects receive a Eureka label, and national funding bodies may carry out their own further evaluation. National funding procedures and project start are expected in September 2027.
