The call funds consortia that integrate and pilot technologies within the FORTIS human-robot interaction framework or transfer it to new civilian sectors. It is open to universities, research organisations, mid-caps, SMEs, start-ups and end-users.

Scope
The call seeks universities, research organisations, mid-caps, SMEs, start-ups and end-users able to integrate their technologies into the FORTIS human-robot interaction framework or to show its adoption in other sectors. Proposals must enter at TRL 4-5 and aim to reach TRL 7 by the end of the project.
Topic OC#2.1: Pushing towards the deployment of FORTIS
Integration and pilot deployment, under eight subtopics:
- optimisation of human-robot collaboration and task allocation;
- flexible interface digital twin;
- HRI watchdog;
- HRI activities digital twin;
- omnideployment of the FORTIS solution;
- ergonomics-aware human state and interaction context for adaptive collaboration;
- interfaces with extended reality;
- trust-aware multi-sensor localisation and mapping for FORTIS robotic platforms.
Topic OC#2.2: Exploiting the FORTIS solution in other key sectors
An open topic for technology transfer and cross-sector validation in non-core civilian HRI domains such as agriculture, healthcare, events and retail.
Funding conditions
- A lifetime ceiling of €200,000 per legal entity applies across all FORTIS open calls combined.
- The budget for non-industry partners cannot exceed 30% of the total project budget.
- Applications are submitted online through the F6S platform.

- Multidisciplinary consortia of eligible entities: universities/RTOs, mid-caps, SMEs, start-ups and end-users.
- OC#2.1: consortia of 3 eligible entities, including at least 1 SME, from at least 2 different eligible countries.
- OC#2.2: consortia of 2 eligible entities, including at least 1 SME; single-country consortia are allowed.
- A legal entity may not exceed €200,000 in total across FORTIS open calls 1 and 2.
