Scope
The coordination and support action establishes a forum for emerging interdisciplinary areas and new technological visions in future enabling digital technologies. It should bring together a broad range of participants from science and engineering, research and technology organisations, industry and other stakeholders to develop new ideas, from fundamental research up to proof of concept.
What proposals should do
- Be driven by representatives of the field, such as academia, research and technology organisations and industry including SMEs.
- Consider civil society engagement to gather wider input.
- Connect with related Commission activities, such as FOSI4EIC and the planned Competitiveness Coordination Tool and technology observatory.
Expected outcomes
- European leadership in foresight on future enabling technologies and their industrial, societal and environmental potential.
- More collaboration between academia, industry and other stakeholders in co-creating future technologies.
- Alignment with national and regional initiatives, and faster pick-up of new technologies by industry and society.
