The call funds innovative urban mobility solutions, products and services that are tested and close to market, to help them reach large-scale deployment. It aims to let cities and mobility providers procure and scale proven innovations.

Scope
The Strategic Innovation Open Call invests in innovative solutions, products and services that respond to pressing urban mobility challenges. Its main focus is to speed up the adoption of impactful innovation by reducing the risks of development and large-scale deployment.
Expected outcomes
- Support for tested solutions with a clear path to market.
- Cities and mobility providers able to procure and scale proven innovations with confidence.
- Innovators able to refine their offerings in real-world settings so that they are ready for wide implementation and long-term impact.
Budget
The total budget of the call is €60,000,000 across several cut-offs. The first three cut-offs, with a combined budget of €42,000,000, were published under the 2023-2025 business plan. The budget of this call under the 2026 business plan is €18,000,000.
Submission and evaluation
Proposals are submitted through the EIT Urban Mobility Programmes Portal and evaluated against pre-defined criteria following the process described in the call manual.

- The call text sets no conditions of its own on who can apply; proposals are submitted through the EIT Urban Mobility Programmes Portal (NetSuite) and evaluated as described in Section 5 of the Call Manual.
