The topic funds consortia of academic and non-academic organisations that build talent ecosystems to improve early research careers. Participants are expected to hold or work towards the HR Excellence in Research Award.

Scope
The topic supports consortia that create talent ecosystems in which training providers and employers of researchers, especially from the non-academic sector, cooperate to offer attractive and sustainable careers, in particular for early-career researchers. An ecosystem may focus on one sector, such as AI, health, climate, energy, deep tech, automotive, defence or space, or be broader.
Possible activities
- Mapping challenges and drawing up action plans to align organisations with the Charter for Researchers.
- Upskilling and involving the non-academic sector in designing training programmes.
- Career development, mentoring and well-being services for researchers and other R&I staff.
- Measures for career interoperability between countries and sectors, support for incoming researchers and outreach to international talent.
The action does not support salaries or mobility of individual researchers or teams.
Expected outcomes
- Integrated networks of public and private organisations cooperating on researcher careers.
- Organisational changes that apply the European framework for research careers and the Charter for Researchers.
- Better connected ecosystems that attract international and diaspora talent.
